Join us for a special afternoon of film, conversation, and community with the legendary Joan Chen (陈冲) — acclaimed actor, director, and cultural icon — in a celebration of cinema and the enduring power of art.

The event begins with a screening of the beloved film Saving Face (2:00 PM – 3:40 PM), followed by an intimate Q & A with Joan Chen (4:00 PM – 4:40 PM). A VIP Meet & Greet will follow from 4:45 PM to 5:15 PM.

This event is a fundraiser for the Great Star Theater, supporting our mission to preserve this 100-year-old historic venue, nurture local artists, and keep the theater alive as a cultural home for the community. Your ticket also serves as a donation receipt and it's tax deductible.
