Premiere of Ain't Samsāra a Bitch

Join us for the premiere of "Ain't Samsāra a Bitch". This short film is born from the imagination of Chinatown native and first-time screenwriter Lorrie Chang, and brought to life by the cinematic vision of visual artist and director Ujjayini Sikha.

When a Chinese American immigrant and devout Buddhist arrives in the afterlife, she must review her soul contracts — including the arduous relationship with her daughter. Will she finally be able to exit reincarnation?

The evening will feature music, poetry, other short films, and Q&A with Samsāra's cast and crew.
