Chinatown Cha-Cha Community Screening with the Grant Avenue Follies

Celebrate Mother's Day with a special community screening of Chinatown Cha-Cha at the historic Great Star Theater in SF Chinatown. This documentary honors the pioneering Chinese American nightclub performers who shaped Chinatown’s golden era, spotlighting the legendary Coby Yee and Grant Avenue Follies. Enjoy a live performance by the Follies before the screening. Join us for an intimate book talk and signing for Dance in Herland at On Waverly afterwards. Stop by the Showgirl Magic Museum, open from 4–7pm with free admission, and explore rare treasures from Chinatown’s golden era. Bring your mothers and grandmothers for an afternoon of celebration, storytelling, and community!
